Sometimes a great idea just needs a little nudge. It’s the actionable spark that comes with creative thought – the “a-ha!” that comes when a gnawing brainwave crawls around in your head like a caterpillar and comes to life as proof of concept.

A beverage empire like AriZona Iced Tea was born out of bringing wild ideas to life.

Born in Brooklyn, Don Vultaggio built a multi-billionaire dollar empire in 1992 with a simple idea that seemed crazy at the time: Delicious iced tea in a can for only 99 cents.

It worked. Vultaggio beat Snapple at their own game by making iced tea for the people. Today Vultaggio is estimated to be worth $3.8 billion, with AriZona Iced Tea in practically every convenience store and bodega in the world and launching exciting new products in new categories, like summer 2020’s AriZona boozy iced tea.

All the while, it’s still a family-owned and operated business.

AriZona Iced Tea is channeling that same ethos – creative ideas being the spark for something BIG – for a concept called, 99Projects.org.

The gist is to encourage AriZona Iced Tea loyalists and fans to channel their flow state and bring a big creative idea to life.

According to the company, 99Projects will select and fund 99 new creative ideas from artists, celebrities, influencers, and customers – no matter how much it costs or how long it takes. The goal is to fund bold passion projects that make the world a more fun and exciting place, encouraging those with a great idea and some creative drive to bring their ideas to life.

Allow Don Vultaggio to explain it in his own words:

According to Spencer Vultaggio, Chief Marketing Officer of AriZona Beverages, the company was “inspired to create a way for the next generation of creative voices to not only be heard, but to also help them get their ideas off the ground.

“This is an especially important time in our culture to help support the dreams of our customers. As a proudly family-owned and operated American company, we have been able to continue to grow our business thanks to our loyal customers and devoted fan base who continue to push us to do great stuff. Now we want to pass on that creative torch to 99 others who deserve the opportunity to be able to take the next steps with their creative projects.”

One such example is AriZona’s work with Miami-based conservationist and wildlife advocate, Michael Holston.

As part of the 99Projects platform, AriZona Beverages is helping fund Holston’s animal conservation work during a global pandemic, recently traveling to the Galapagos Islands. While dispatched to the remote Pacific Ocean, Holston used the opportunity to create educational content about unique animals only seen on the island, fulfilling one of his childhood dreams of traveling to the Galapagos.

He produced some stellar content for his 6 million+ Instagram followers:
