On October 26th, it will mark 34 years since the movie Terminator debuted in theaters. The 1984 sci-fi flick basically launched the careers Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, and James Cameron. Now the two star actors and the legendary director are reuniting for Terminator 6.
Schwarzenegger celebrated Hamilton’s 62nd birthday by sharing a tender photo of the two stars from the set of Terminator 6 that began production in June. Schwarzenegger posted the then-and-now photo on Instagram of the two stars from the set of a previous Terminator movie and the current film with the caption: “Happy birthday to my dear friend Linda Hamilton. One of my favorite co-stars, a true badass, and a wonderful human being. I’m pumped to be back together again.”
Arnold looks a bit worse for wear as he is seen with gashes all over his face as the doomsday-fighting Sarah Connor snuggles up against him. Hamilton and the 71-year-old actor and former California governor are reunited after starring the first two movies of the Terminator franchise and missing the last three films.
“As meaningful as she was to gender and action stars everywhere back then, it’s going to make a huge statement to have that seasoned warrior that she’s become return,” Cameron previously said about the reboot.
Cameron is producing Terminator 6 and it will be directed by Tim Miller of Deadpool fame. The upcoming movie is the direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day, which is the last Terminator movie that Hamilton starred in. The new chapter will star newcomers Natalia Reyes, Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes, and Diego Boneta. Terminator 6 is scheduled to smash into theaters on November 22, 2019.
