Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were dating when Pitt featured on 'Jackass'
One of the most iconic bits in Jackass history happened not in one of the five movies, but the original series, as the crew staged a fake-kidnapping of actor Brad Pitt. The stunt was pulled in 2001, meaning Pitt was already firmly a movie star.
After starring in films such as Legends of the Fall, Seven, 12 Monkeys, and Fight Club, Brad Pitt emerged from the 90s as one of Hollywood’s biggest movie stars.
Despite his fame and fortune, however, Pitt was still down to get his hands dirty with the Jackass crew as he agreed to appear in a kidnapping stunt in a season three episode of the series.
In Season 3, Episode 8 of Jackass Pitt stood in line at Pink’s Hot Dogs in Los Angeles as van filled with masked men pulled up and forcefully threw him into the vehicle while he screamed for help.
Bam Margera recently recalled the way in which Jennifer Aniston freaked out after finding out that Brad Pitt did a fake kidnapping stunt on Jackass
During a recent interview, Bam Margera — who, similar to Pitt, appears in Jackass: Best and Last via archival footage — recalled Jennifer Aniston’s reaction to the bit. Pitt and Aniston were in the midst of their high-profile relationship at the time.
“So we had Brad Pitt wait in that line, and when the time was right, we pulled up in a van, hit the s— out of him with the fake crowbars, threw him into the van and took off,” Margera said in an interview with Living Proof.
“She was, like, ‘You f—— what? Take your a— home!’” he continued. “I was, like, ‘she hates us, Jennifer Aniston hates us’.”
“I agree with Jennifer Aniston now that I look back at it, we could have wound up in some serious danger,” he added.
In addition to the kidnapping stunt, Pitt also participated in a gag that saw him wear a full gorilla suit and ran amok on public streets alongside Johnny Knoxville and the gang.
Jackass: Best and Last is now playing in movie theaters. Check out the official trailer below.
