Amidst reports of a pending divorce from his wife Jennifer Lopez, Academy Award-winning actor, writer, and director Ben Affleck has purchased a massive new California home.
According to reports, Ben Affleck has purchased a $20.5 million home on the Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles.
Affleck and Lopez put their Los Angeles mansion (pictured above), which they bought in 2023 for $61 million, on the market on July 11 with an asking price of $68 million.
Ben just closed escrow on the Pacific Palisades mansion for $20.5 million. The stunning residence has 5 beds and 6 baths with breakfast and dining areas, a separate family room, den, walk-in closets, media room, powder room, guest house and on and on and on. [via TMZ]
Lopez, who canceled her planned This Is Me… Live tour that was scheduled to run this summer, is also looking for a new home, according to the report.
According to TMZ, after the “Los Angeles mansion tax, real estate commissions, and several million dollars in renovations, they’ll be lucky to break even.”
Even though Affleck and Lopez look headed for divorce, the pair will still have to maintain something of a professional relationship over the next few months as Affleck’s productions company Artists Equity, which he co-founded with his longtime pal Matt Damon, produced Lopez’s upcoming film Unstoppable.
Unstoppable, which is about one-legged NCAA champion wrestler Anthony Robles, has been dated to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
