If you’re contemplating stealing electronics, I’ll give you one friendly piece of advice — don’t do it on Summer Tapasa-Sataraka’s watch. The Best Buy security guard was the star in a viral video of her obliterating a shoplifter. Despite her good-natured intentions, Summer was fired from Best Buy, but now Dana White wants to hire her.
In December, a thief attempted to steal electronics from the Best Buy in Waimulu, Hawaii. Unbeknownst to the criminal, Tapasa-Sataraka was on guard. She spotted the shoplifter, and there was no chance in hell that she was going to let him leave the store with the stolen goods. The security video shows the moment that Summer took down the thief with some impressive and bruising forearm shivers. The Miami Dolphins wish they had Tapasa-Sataraka on their offensive line.
The 24-year-old security guard slammed the thief back into the store and slammed him to the ground. The shoplifter dropped the expensive speaker that he was trying to jack. The video went viral, but Best Buy fired Summer for preventing the theft. However, the video left quite an impression on Dana White.
Dana White said he was not only flying Summer to UFC 246 in Las Vegas, but he also wants to hire her because of her tenacity.
“This is Summer Tapasa Sataraka. She stopped this punk from getting away with stealing from BestBuy in Hawaii,” White posted on social media. “She got fired for this. Flying her in this weekend and giving her tickets to the McGregor vs. Cowboy fight. I WANT HER TO WORK FOR ME! Get ready for the best weekend of your life summer.”
The UFC president gave an interview to TMZ Sports and said he is “dead serious” about hiring Summer.
“That’s the kind of person I want working for me. She’s my kind of girl. You’re crazy Best Buy! You shoulda kept her! I’m gonna steal her from you now,” White said. “I’m gonna rock star the sh*t out of her, and then we’re gonna see what happens.”
Dana also teased that Tom Brady might be attending the Conor McGregor versus Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 246.
