It’s been over 15 years since Twitter founder Jack Dorsey sent out the first tweet in the history of a platform that would eventually become one of the most popular destinations on the internet; a one-stop shop that offered its users the chance to consume breaking news, weird jokes, the idle thoughts of famous people, and the toxic discourse virtually every post had the potential to spawn in one convenient feed.

The immensely popular nature of Twitter could only do so much to generate revenue, as the company spent years struggling to figure out a way to leverage its success into tangible financial returns.

However, those issues didn’t stop Elon Musk from making the fairly rash decision to acquire it in a deal worth $44 billion earlier this year. The billionaire subsequently treated countless people to a massive dose of schadenfreude after attempting to back out of the acquisition by deploying a number of legal arguments with no real merit before accepting his fate and finalizing the sale at the end of October.

Since then, Musk has conducted a masterclass in Tweeting Through It as he’s publically grappled with the realities of acquiring a social media company he claims is losing over $4 million a day—a reckoning that’s perfectly summed up by a tweet anyone who is Very Online is likely very familiar with.

People began writing obituaries for Twitter when Musk first expressed interest in buying it back in May, and many people have speculated it’s only a matter of time until it officially dies thanks to the lack of confidence he’s inspired since taking over as its owner.

That includes one person who floated the idea of collecting the best tweets the platform ever produced and setting them to Vitamin C’s “Graduation (Friends Forever)” to give users one last chance to remember all the times they’ve had together.

I’m happy to report someone stepped up to make that dream a reality.

If Twitter ends up dying, this video of the best tweets of all time set to “Graduation” by Vitamin C is the perfect way to memorialize it

On Sunday, we were treated to some Tremendous Content courtesy of the heroic Twitter user who spent more time than anyone should rounding up some of the most iconic tweets in the history of the platform before putting them together in a video featuring the aforementioned tune.

The compilation features classics from Weird Twitter legends including Dril, Horse_ebooks, and the late, great Harris Wittels as well as some unforgettable contributions from the likes of Jose Canseco, Stephen A. Smith, and Ayesha Curry.

Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile (and maybe also cry) because those happened.
