Not only did Blake Lively damage her reputation in the court of public opinion during her legal battle with It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni, but she also lost in the court of law, too.
According to reports, It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni reached a settlement and the former Gossip Girl star reportedly got no money in the deal.
Sources say that she and Baldoni spent around $60 million combined on the legal dispute.
Blake Lively reportedly received no money in her settlement with Justin Baldoni after spending tens of millions of dollars on lawyers
Not only did Lively not receive any money, but she did not even get an apology from Baldoni in the official settlement, capping off a disatrous 18-month stretch of largely self-inflicted negative PR.
“We’re told Blake brought in a new law firm — Sussman Godfrey. It would seem the point of bringing the firm in would be to litigate the case, but the opposite happened. The settlement statement did not even include an apology from Justin.”

Instead of Lively or Baldoni, their attorneys — Bryan Freedman, Ellyn Garofalo, Michael Gottlieb, and Esra Hudson — are the primary financial beneficiaries of the drawn out saga.
The settlement came after the judge had already dismissed 10 of Lively’s 13 claims in March, leaving only three potential charges on the docket: breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting retaliation.
Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit, which also listed the New York Times as a defendant due to their reporting of the story, had been dismissed in June 2025, and both sides agreed to settle the morning of the scheduled trial date, with no monetary damages to either party and confidential terms. The trial was scheduled to officially begin on May 18.
Since the legal battle began, Lively has starred in just one film, 2025’s Another Simple Favor. She’s also attached to the projects The Survival List and The Husband’s Secret, although there is no indication that production on those films will begin anytime soon.
