Chad Smith, aka Will Ferrell’s twin brother and the drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has once again gone viral for showing off just how incredibly talented professional musicians are and how talented Chad is in particular.

In February of this year, I published an article with a nearly identical headline as this one and in it Chad Smith played the drums on a 30 Seconds To Mars song, ‘The Kill’, which is one of Jared Leto’s band’s hits. The gist of the challenge is the musician listens to a song they’ve never heard before but they hear a drum-less version of the song and then attempt to play along to the song with how they think the drums should go.

Chad Smith Blows Everyone Away By Playing Song He’s Never Heard Before

Will Ferrell’s twin brother Chad Smith is back and this time he’s attempting to play ‘Can You Feel My Heart’ by Bring Me The Horizon, a song I’ve never heard until now so I can’t say for certain if Chad crushes it here or not but from where I’m sitting he nails it from start to finish:

Chad went into full Chad Mode and beasted that song from the first note. The top comment on YouTube perfectly describes what is going on here, saying “Some drummers employ ‘active listening’ on their first listen. Then there’s Chad Smith employing “active drumming.”

Someone else described this track as “the GIGA CHAD tune for Giga Chad himself” and I’m glad that we as a society have come to accept that Chad Smith is the best Chad. There are many Chad’s in the land but Smith is the one that reigns supreme over all other Chad’s. Another person said that Smith added a new element to this song and said the original felt a little empty. That’s a matter of preference, of course.

Will Ferrell vs Chad Smith Drum Off

Since we are here… Here’s Chad versus his twin brother, separated at birth, Will Ferrell, in a drum off on The Tonight Show two years ago:

It truly is wild how similar they look. Had to have been separated at birth.
