A woman revealed her bean and cheese burrito order from Chipotle, and now the burrito community is up in arms about it.

Ordering a Chipotle burrito has become something of an art form. Individuals part of the burrito community probably believe they have perfected the burrito and have the best order. So when someone with a rather strange order comes along, they take personal offense to it.

In a TikTok with over 285,600 views, Sara Ann Russo (@saraannrusso) revealed her order, and now the burrito community is up in arms about it.

“Chipotle I know I asked for a bean and cheese burrito but still you charged me over $10 for this and made it half size?? RUDE,” the onscreen text reads.

Russo holds up the burrito, and it’s about palm size. She grips the entire burrito with one hand and looks at the camera with pure dissatisfaction. Without a word or vent, she drops the burrito down as the silence speaks volumes.

“Chipotle, girl. What did I do to you?” Russo captioned the post.

Chipotle Bean And Cheese Burrito: Is It Really That Weird Of An Order?

Viewers in the comment section did not hold back. Many questioned why a bean and cheese burrito was ordered at Chipotle in the first place.

“Why are we spending $10 on a Chipotle bean and cheese burrito anyways and not just going to Taco Bell and getting the same thing for $2,” one viewer wrote.

“Who tf is going to Chipotle for a bean and cheese burrito,” another questioned.

“Could’ve bought those ingredients or go to a real local Mexican restaurant for a burrito 3x that size and cheaper,” a third chimed in.

️”You can make a bean and cheese burrito at home and fill it up as much as you want,” a fourth commented.

The Burrito Community Has A Lot To Say

While others offered recommendations on what to do for the next Chipotle order.

“Just get double of everything. They’re assuming you’re getting more stuff at the end. Cause who the f— orders just a bean and cheese burrito at Chipotle,” one suggested, not missing an opportunity to take a shot at her order.

“Girl this should be charged as two sides (1.60×2) + a tortilla (.50) so 3.70, and with wayyy larger portions. The worker must not have liked you,” another shared.

“Go. Inside. And. Order. You can tell them what you want and it’ll be gigantic…Chipotle doesn’t have a ‘beans and rice burrito’ option, I wish they did tbh. You ordered a veggie burrito with none of the fancy stuff…half the price is the guac that’s included,” another wrote.

A Message To The Burrito Community

Russo read the comments and updated her caption to answer common questions.

“EDIT: My apologies to the burrito community for causing a stir! It’s really not that serious, but to answer some (understandably) recurring questions.”

She shares how she ordered the burrito online and did order extra beans and cheese. Russo ordered through the mobile app, and that was her mistake, she admits. “I’m sure if I would’ve gone in and explained the vision someone would’ve kindly obliged.”

Russo addresses the viewers, saying to go to a locally owned Mexican restaurant. “I couldn’t find any local spots to Columbia, SC (other than Taco Bell) that have bean and cheese burritos on the menu.”

How Does Chipotle Price Bean And Cheese Burritos?

Every Chipotle customer prays that the worker will hook it up with a generous protein scoop, but that’s not always the case. With this, budget spenders try to find new ways to save at Chipotle by ordering a bean and cheese burrito. One woman claimed she was able to get a $2 bean and cheese burrito, but results will vary.

While Chipotle does not officially have bean and cheese burrito options listed on their menu, it can cost around $8 to $10. According to Chipotle workers, the price will be determined by a point system Chipotle allegedly created. Each ingredient, according to workers online, will be classified as one point or two points and is associated with material costs.

Meats, cheese, guacamole, and queso are considered a premium and classified as two points, according to the workers. Whereas beans, rice, salsa, fajitas, sour cream, and lettuce are one point as they are cheaper.

When ordering beans and cheese, it’s considered a three-pointer, per the workers. When a meal hits three points or less, it’s supposed to be charged less.

“If you get an entree that adds to 3 or less using that chart, it is supposed to be rung up cheaper. Normally about half the price give or take,” one Reddit user shared.

While in theory, a bean and cheese should not cost $10, the cost will depend on the cashier’s judgment of the order and how they ring it up. Since the bean and cheese isn’t on the menu, the price can vary from location to location.

Other money-saving hacks include ordering side items and making a meal out of that—but that usually entails having to order an entree of some sort. My personal strategy is asking for half chicken and half steak with a head nod and hoping extra pieces of protein fall into the burrito.

EDIT: My apologies to the burrito community for causing a stir! ❤️It’s really not that serious, but to answer some (understandably) recurring questions: -Yes, I ordered extra. -No, I did not order in person it was a mobile order and that was my first mistake. I’m sure if I would’ve gone in and explained the vision someone would’ve kindly obliged. -I couldn’t find any local spots to Columbia, SC (other than Taco Bell) that have b&c burritos on menu, but feel free to point em my way if you know of any! Lastly, no hate – all love folks! ❤️ — @Chipotle, girl. What did I do to you? #chipotle #burrito
