Chris Hemsworth appears to be an excellent father. One look at his (or his wife’s) Instagram account will tell you that. And if that doesn’t do the trick, check out his excellent Disney+ docuseries Limitless, which features — among many other incredible feats — him cooking his children eggs whilst in the middle of a multi-day fast.

Despite how obvious it is how much Hemsworth loves his kids — and how much they adore him — there have still been evidently sad and lonely people in his comment section giving the happy family grief, as pointed out by Page Six.

To make matters even more absurd, the prank that the Hemsworths pulled on their son that people are getting so worked up about is just the timeless gag of having his face smashed into his birthday cake.

“Why people smash their kid’s face in the cake is above my understanding but whatever,” one critic wrote in the comment section.

“Why do people think this is funny?” another wrote, before a third added, “It’s so violent.”

“In my country [this is] done, but it’s very poorly [looked upon] because several accidents have already happened,” a fourth chimed in.

After starring in the disappointing blockbuster Thor: Love and Thunder and Netflix’s Spiderhead last year, Hemsworth will next be seen starring in the sequel to Extraction, which will hit Netflix this Summer. He also recently wrapped filming on the Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa, which also stars Anya Tayl0r-Joy.

Due to a recent diagnosis that determined he’s genetically predisposed to developing Alzheimer’s disease, Hemsworth recently said he will be taking some time off to — that’s right, you guessed it — spend time with his family.
