Christopher Meloni stars as the fictional head coach of the Cleveland Browns in 'The Land'
The Cleveland Browns are getting the prestige TV treatment, as a new Hulu series about the franchise will be dropping this winter to give NFL fans their football fix during the offseason. The series, titled The Land, premieres on February 15, 2027.
Hulu’s NFL drama The Land, starring Christopher Meloni as fictional Cleveland Browns head coach Danny Roarke, will hit Hulu the day after Super Bowl LXI on Monday, Feb. 15. A promo post teasing the series leans into that fact as it features the tagline “When the game is over, the real drama begins.”
The Land is co-produced by the NFL, meaning the series will feature actual NFL branding and not made-for-TV knockoffs like the New York Pilots.

According to reports, Roarke has “one last chance” to turn around his struggling team, and his fate depends on a newly drafted Ohio State quarterback who happens to be his son. The team’s owner, played by William H. Macy, also has to decide which of his two daughters should take over the franchise when he steps away.
The first look at the series was released earlier this week and naturally prompted jokes about Meloni’s most iconic role: NYPD Detective 1st Grade Elliot Stabler on Law & Order: SVU, which he starred in from 1991 to 2011 (and again reprised the role in 2021-2023 and 2025).

Is this the one where Stabler goes undercover in a sting operation to arrest Deshaun Watson?

Alongside Meloni in the lead role and Macy as the owner of the Cleveland Browns, the cast of The Land also includes Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan, and Omar Epps. You might recall the series making headlines earlier this year when some scenes were shot at the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh.
