Ready for the creepiest story you’ll read this week? (And if it isn’t, do please share.) Some college students at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro thought they had a ghost or a raccoon or something living in one of their bedroom closets because of the odd noises emanating from it and clothing going missing.
But it wasn’t a scavenging animal or an ethereal being from the great beyond haunting them. It was a 30-year-old man.
“I’ve been having like pieces of clothes missing. Like shirts and pants,” Maddie, a junior at UNCG told Fox 8 News.
At other times, she and her roommates discovered hand prints on the bathroom wall. Handprints that none of them had left there.
“I just hear rattling in my closet. It sounded like a raccoon in my closet,” said Maddie. “I’m like who’s there? And somebody answers me. He’s like ‘oh my name is Drew.’ I open the door and he’s in there, wearing all of my clothes. My socks. My shoes. And he has a book bag full of my clothes.”
This guy. Was in her closet. Wearing her clothes.
What. The. F**k?
Maddie even had a conversation with the man as she waited for help to arrive.
“He tries on my hat. He goes in the bathroom and looks in the mirror and then is like ‘you’re really pretty, can I give you a hug?’ she recounted. “But he never touched me.”
How he got inside the apartment is a whole other mystery. The women said their doors are always locked and there was no sign of forced entry. Even worse, back in December two guys they didn’t know just showed up in their living room.
Needless to say, Maddie and her roommates are now looking to move.
