Talk about two people who need to immediately go buy a lottery ticket. A driver and passenger walked away after their Corvette flew off the highway, flipped multiple times and crashed into a Maserati dealership.
In a scene that looked like something out of a video game, a blue Corvette went airborne off the 60 Freeway at around 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday and ended up in the front window of a Maserati dealership in the City of Industry in California.
After it left the freeway, the Corvette flipped end-over-end, took out a concrete light pole, 30 feet of perimeter fencing, and shattered several dealership windows before coming to a rest.
Miraculously, both the driver and the passenger escaped the car unharmed. As of this writing, authorities have not issued any arrests or citations, but that could certainly change as police investigate the accident.
In the video, the Corvette darts left toward the center lanes, then abruptly cuts to the right and speeds through traffic. It then hit a guardrail and rolled multiple times.
A witness described the Corvette sideswiping them at “probably well over 110 mph” when it veered across multiple lanes before losing control and taking to the air. The witness also claimed the Corvette appeared to be running with other cars before the collision.

In another crash involving a Corvette in California on Wednesday, a police chase ended when the driver hit a tree.
According to Fox 11 News, a neon-green Corvette convertible was involved in a police pursuit near Torrance. At one point during the pursuit, the driver pulled into a Chevron gas station and pretended to fill up gas. When police arrived at the gas station, the driver sped off again, hopping a sidewalk and nearly spun out.
At another point during the chase, the Corvette driver appeared to wave at the police.
After running a red light and narrowly missing cars crossing the intersection, the driver attempted a U-turn, but had nowhere to go. So, rather than give up, he hopped another sidewalk and ran into an SUV which caused him to hit a tree.
Officers quickly surrounded the vehicle and took the driver into custody. Thankfully, no one reported any injuries in this case either.
