Costco Drops Several Items From Food Court Menu To Make Way For New Vegan And Vegetarian Fare

If you’ve grown up on the super cheap items from Costco’s food court, you might want to sit down.

We’ve got some bad news for those who love the beloved menu.

Costco is revamping their food court menu to make way for vegan and vegetarian options. Before you get too alarmed, you can breathe easy that the $1.50 hot dog and soda combo will still be offered.

In some or all stores, Costco is ditching mainstay food court items such as chocolate frozen yogurt, the barbecue brisket sandwich, chili, and the Polish hot dog. The items were removed to make room for healthier options. The Costco food court will now offer vegan and vegetarian fare such as the super trendy acai bowls for $4.99. The acai berry swirl features soft serve and comes with fresh strawberries, blueberries, dried bananas, and granola with almonds.

The major warehouse retailer will also sell an al pastor salad with plant-based protein. The salad is made of soy-based protein, romaine lettuce, black beans, banh mi vegetables, and dressing, also for $4.99.

If Costco takes away our hot dog combos we riot.
