A brutal act of crocodile cannibalism was caught on camera at Kruger National Park in South Africa. The massive crocodile below can be seen munching down on a Croc like it’s nothing.

Folks who have seen this video are expressing concern for the cannibal crocodile and for good reason! Nobody should ever eat rubber, or composite materials, whatever it is Crocs are made out of.

Massive Crocodile Eats Crocs

If you came here certain that you would see a large crocodile eat a small croc then you are in luck. But is this a true act of cannibalism? Only you can decide.

Because this isn’t a huge reptile eating a smaller one. This is merely Croc on Croc crime, if we can call it that. And the video has been going viral on Threads. Check it out:

That has to be cannibalism, right? It’s a crocodile eating a croc.

Sure, it is not as gnarly as the ‘biggest alligator ever seen‘ eating another alligator at Circle B Bar Reserve in Florida a few years ago, one of the more popular instances of crocodilian cannibalism in recent years.

There was also this instance of a huge alligator nicknamed ‘Pappy’ eating it’s lone rival on a Florida golf course and walking away with the smaller gator in its mouth like a warrior carrying its prize off the battlefield. If you don’t remember that run in, here it is again:

This is not that, but it’s something, right?

As for what Crocs are made out of, the material is a proprietary “closed-cell resin material” named Croslite. It is neither plastic nor rubber and made primarily out of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA). Still though, at the end of the day I cannot imagine it is something anyone or anything should be eating.

For the curious minds, this encounter took place in Kruger National Park which is in northeastern South Africa. It is one of the largest game reserves in all of South Africa and is home to the infamous ‘Big 5’ of safaris: Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Leopards, and Buffaloes.

How are giraffes not part of the ‘Big 5’ in African safaris?! That feels wrong.
