HBO has released the first trailer for the upcoming Dune prequel series Dune: Prophecy.
Dune: Prophecy, set to release this fall, stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Jodhi May, Sarah-Sofie Boussina, Shalon Brune-Franklin, Aoife Hinds, Travis Fimmel, Mark Strong, Jade Anouka, Chris Mason, and more.
While the official synopsis for the series has yet to be released, the teaser does come with the below caption:
“10,000 years before the birth of Paul Atreides, before the universe knew them as the Bene Gesserit…”

Dune: Prophecy is a prequel to Denis Villeneuve’s massively successful Dune franchise, with Dune: Part Two racking up over $700 million at the global box office since being released in March.
Dune and Dune: Part Two boasts a star-studded cast that features both veterans and Hollywood’s future leading stars, such as Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, and more.
Earlier this week, Warner Bros. announced that Dune: Part Two would begin streaming on MAX on Tuesday, May 21.
Despite the critical and commercial of Dune: Part Two, a third film in the franchise, which would be based on Frank Herbert’s novel Dune: Messiah has yet to be officially confirmed.
