If professional wrestler turned actor Dwayne Johnson was your great hope to become the next President of the United States of America, you may want to sit down, we’ve got some discouraging news. Despite floating the idea over the past few months, The Rock won’t be running to be POTUS in 2020. Johnson blamed Kevin Hart for him not throwing his hat into the ring to become the next leader of the free world in 2020.

Johnson appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday night and announced that he will not be running for the presidency of the United States. “Here’s the problem, it’s been very flattering,” Johnson said. “There’s been this really interesting uptick in public opinion, [people] wanting that to happen.” The reason is not the paycut or heavy criticisms that come with the job, instead, it is his Jumanji castmate Kevin Hart. “The problem is that [Kevin Hart] will completely sabotage the campaign in 2020, 2024. He’ll literally sabotage it from the inside,” The Rock revealed.

Hart, who also appeared on the talk show agreed, “100%, I will take you down. I don’t want it to happen because it will make you that much better than me, and I just don’t want it. I would sabotage it in a heartbeat.” So there you have it, if you were a fan of The Rock becoming the next POTUS you can blame Kevin Hart for that not happening. Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle rumbles into theaters on December 20.
