“In the edge-of-your-seat thriller Echo Valley, Kate (Julianne Moore) is a mother struggling to make peace with her troubled daughter Claire  (Sweeney) — a situation that becomes even more perilous when Claire shows up on Kate’s doorstep, hysterical and covered in someone else’s blood. As Kate pieces together the shocking truth of what happened, she learns just how far a mother will go to try to save her child in this gripping tale of love, sacrifice and survival.”

Following Echo Valley, she’ll next be seen starring in the Ron Howard-directed film Eden alongside Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Jude Law, and Daniel Bruhl, which releases in movie theaters on August 22.

2025 will also see Sweeney star in Paul Feig’s The Housemaid alongside Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters on Christmas Day.

The up-and-coming A-lister is also attached to a bevy of projects in the coming years such as Americana directed by Tony Tost, an untitled Christy Martin biopic directed David Michôd,  Barbarella directed by Edgar Wright, an adaptation of the popular Japanese anime GundamOutRun directed by Michael Bay, an adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s The Masque of the Red Death, I Pretended to be A Missing Girl, and more.

Sweeney is also growing as a producer in the industry, as well, as she’s producing both OutRun and I Pretended To Be A Missing Girl, which she recruited Oscar-winning screenwriter Eric Roth for.
