English actress and model Elizabeth Hurley has raised some eyebrows with her comments about having her own son direct her in intimate scenes.
The 58-year-old Hurley, who you likely remember from the original Austin Powers movie, is starring in the erotic thriller Strictly Confidential, which is being directed by her 21-year-old son Damian Hurley.
Speaking to Access Hollywood about the film, Hurley said she felt “safe and looked after” by her son while filming the movie’s sexual scenes. Hurley had her son Damian with her late husband Steve Bing, who passed away in 2020.
“It’s just, it’s relaxing knowing someone’s behind the camera who looks out for you, which was the same on this movie in a way, because you know the things that his script needed me to do in this weren’t necessarily things I had always done in movies many times before, but having him there meant that I felt safe and looked after,” Hurley said.

This isn’t the first time that the boundaries between Hurley and her son have made headlines, as she previously revealed that he’s the one who takes photos of her in a bikini for her Instagram account, which has over 3 million followers.
“People find this really controversial,” Damian said. “We’re in the business. Showbusiness has been a fundamental part of my entire life, so for us, it’s just not a thing. It’s just part of business. She takes my photos, I take her photos.”
Strictly Confidential, which Damian claims he wrote when he was 20 years old, is his directorial debut. In addition to his mother, the film also stars Lauren McQueen, Freddie Thorp and Genevieve Gaunt, and is set to be released on digital on April 5.
