Ryan Reynolds Has Shared The First Official (And Grotesque) Look At ‘Deadpool 3’

With the actors strike finally coming to an end last month, production on various Hollywood projects, such as Deadpool 3, have been able to resume in recent weeks.

The film originally began shooting in the summer but had to shut down when the strike began in mid-July.

Now that filming of Deadpool 3 has resumed, photos from the project — both leaked and official — have been making their way onto the internet.

One of those official photos comes from Ryan Reynolds himself and features hikm in character as Wade Wilson being licked by Dogpool, which is a Marvel Comics character that’s set to be introduced in Deadpool 3.

While this is technically the second photo from Deadpool 3 to be officially released, the first — which features Deadpool and Wolverine walking on a beach, does not appear to be from the movie itself but rather a promotional image that was taken to generate hype.

In addition to Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Deadpool 3 also stars Owen Wilson, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Jennifer Garner, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapičić, Rob Delaney, and more. Earlier this week, additional characters from Fox’s X-Men universe were also spotted on set.

At this time, Deadpool 3 (which is not the official title of the project) is set to hit theaters on Friday, July 24, 2024.

Deadpool 3 is actually going to be the only Marvel Cinematic Universe film to release in 2024, which is a stark change of pace from a studio that had become known for its rampant production in recent years.

Likely in response to the decreasing quality of the franchise and therefore waning internet in it, Marvel appears to be using 2024 as something of a reset year before kicking off a run of films that will culminate in a new Avengers movie being released in 2026.
