God love Nicolas Cage. Bro is 54-years-old now and I think he might just now be reaching the zenith of his acting career. He’s truly been able to fine tune that special bit of crazy that’s always present in whatever role he plays.
Hard to believe his first movie role was in Fast Times at Ridgemont High way back in 1982. Dude has been hard at it for 36 years now and is still making movies that he can’t possibly be doing for any reason other than he just really, really loves to act or, well, for the money.
I mean, he did win an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for his work in Leaving Las Vegas in 1995, and earned a second Academy Award nomination for his performance in Adaptation in 2002, so the guy has some serious credentials.
Last year, Cage appeared in the movies Mom and Dad, Inconceivable, Vengeance: A Love Story, and Arsenal. (Yeah, I have never heard of any of those films either.)
And now, NOW we are going to be treated to some vintage Nicolas Cage as the first bloody and batshit trailer for upcoming action-horror film Mandy has been released and it looks to be Cage at the absolute height of his craziness/awesomeness.
