Florida Woman Takes Goddaughter To Buffalo Wild Wings. Then She Takes A Bite Of Her Chicken Tender—And May Have To Call The Health Department: ’That’s Why I Eat At Home’

Buffalo Wild Wings is the quintessential place for sports watching and bar food. Over the years, it has grown in popularity. The atmosphere and the wide selection of sauces and dry rubs for its boneless and bone-in wings, complete with just about any televised sporting event as the backdrop, have been the draw for many fans.

However, for one fan, the chain fumbled. A woman in Brandon, Florida, took her goddaughter to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. While watching the game, her goddaughter bit into a chicken tender, and it was completely raw.

She captioned the video, “POV: You’re watching the game @Buffalo wild wings My goddaughter took a bite and said IKYL [I know you’re lying]!!…”

The viral video has more than 3 million views, garnered 66,000 likes and reposted 30,000 times. In the clip, (@bostonnprincess) shows the inside of two pieces of uncooked chicken tenders. For two of the tenders, she fails at pulling them apart, but even from the outside, the rawness is still visible. The breading is perfectly fried on the outside. On the inside, the chicken is completely raw. All of the four tenders are uncooked.

In the comments on the stomach-churning video is a mix of disgust, dark humor, and demands that she sue the company.

“WTH they doing for the chicken to be that raw and that brown at the same time,” asked one user.

Another pointed out the health concerns, albeit jokingly.

“You could’ve got Sam and Ella,” another said, referring to the possibility of salmonella poisoning.

A Repeated Pattern

The incident does not seem to be isolated, as there are other cases online showcasing the same issue in different states.

The Buffalo Wild Wings in Brandon, Florida, specifically, had a complaint filed in December of 2025. In the complaint, there were two reports regarding food handlers and proof of training. The last health inspection on file for the restaurant was a routine inspection in July of this year.  While a follow-up was needed, the issues were corrected timely. At the time of this article, or since the posting of the video, there has been no health complaint filed for the restaurant.

In 2018, Buffalo Wild Wings was taken over by Inspire Food Brand, a private equity group—taking the chain in a newer direction. Currently the chain is undergoing structural changes. The focus is on closing underperforming full-scale restaurants and focusing on opening more BWW Go stores. BWW Go is a spin-off of the original. It is smaller storefronts strictly for takeout and delivery.
