‘Gym Bro’ Goes To Fogo De Chão Brazilian Steakhouse To Load Up On Protein. Then The Worker Does Something Unheard Of: ‘How Is It All You Can Eat Then?’

To take their bulking up to the next level, one self-described “gym bro” went to an all-you-can-eat steakhouse. However, they were blindsided when a Fogo de Chão server cut them off.

The video begins with a server cutting meat. Meanwhile, one of the people in the video takes the meat off with some tongs. The footage then cuts to an apologetic-looking woman coming over. She says, “Hey, guys. I’m so sorry to do this to you. I’m gonna have to cut you off. You’ve had way too much meat tonight.”

This was followed by the viral “What did you say?” sound. The man across the table from the person filming looked down, defeated.

The clip was accompanied by on-screen text. It read, “POV: Gym bro gets cut off from eating too much protein at Fogo de Chão.”

In the video description, the TikToker added, “But I’m bulking.”

The video has amassed 621,600 views.

BroBible reached out to the TikToker via direct message.

Viewers Demand Justice

Commenters mostly demanded justice.

“Always pay with a credit card,” one wrote. “If they cut you off you can get your money back easily.”

“Nah, yk thats illegal if they market as all you can eat,” a second added.

And a third claimed, “Yeah that’s a easy lawsuit to win against the restaurant unless they told you in some form that you can be cut off.”

“How is it all you can eat then?” a third asked.

Meanwhile, a fifth remarked, “It’s probably a time limit thing; many all-you-can-eat places have a 90-minute limit, and people just don’t read the disclaimer.”

A few were suspicious the video was scripted, and the customer somehow got the worker to agree to play the part for a skit. “I have the power of autism I can see through the Vail,” they quipped.

“This is fake. I eat for 2 hrs straight,” another claimed.

In an email statement, a Fogo de Chão spokesperson seemed to confirm this.

“At Fogo, our Deixa Comigo (“we got you”) attitude aways leads the way. Limiting the churrasco experience is not in our mindset. Looks like a team member and this guest were having some fun in the name of content creation,” they said.

Can You Get ‘Cut Off’ At Fogo De Chão?

It is pretty rare to get cut off at an all-you-can-eat establishment.

Although Fogo isn’t mentioned by name, it is implied by one Redditor that the steakhouse cut their uncle off by taking “his little circle” away. In addition to this, another Reddit user said that their friend had been “unofficially” cut off by Fogo multiple times. “They don’t take his little ‘feed me’ circle away, but he said once you hit a certain point, it is noticeable that the servers skip your table,” they claimed.

Discussing all-you-can-eat steakhouses in general, a third Redditor claimed, “They cut you off when it becomes a liability, and they’ll be backed up on that. If you’re getting cut off at a buffet or all you can eat place, then you honestly need to examine what you’re doing.”

Getting ignored at Fogo specifically does seem to be a recurring problem, however. One TikToker went viral after sharing how the restaurant’s servers seemed to ignore them. This was despite their green circle being prominently displayed. “When we go to all u can eat fogo de chao but the waiters keep passing our table without giving us any food,” on-screen text read. The footage itself showed servers passing by the table despite the green circle being on display.

While the TikToker reported that they were served eventually, it is arguable that at least some table skips are intentional. However, in this case, it was less about being ‘cut off’ and more about general visibility.
