Getting through airport security is a necessary but inconvenient part of traveling. However, this woman didn’t expect staff at the Fort Lauderdale Airport to dispute her passport or ID photos.
The video begins with Kate Cassidy (@kateecass) tearfully saying that she got “ridiculed” at the airport.
She then explains what happened. In the security line, she gave the man her passport. She then had a photo taken. If the photo doesn’t match the passport, you get a red light. If it does, you get a green light. She got a red light.
She then showed viewers the passport photo and added via on-screen text: “Other than the hair it’s not that crazy different.” The image shows the TikToker, who is now brunette, with long blonde hair.
‘I Don’t Know What To Do’
In turn, the staff member then calls for another employee. As Cassidy describes, this employee “literally looks at my passport, she looks at me, she’s literally doing a double take like, up and down, up and down, and this woman keeps literally going on and on and on about how, “This isn’t you. You’re giving me somebody else’s passport.’ She’s goes, ‘New nose, new lips, something to your eyes, new hair?'”
Cassidy continues: “I pull out my ID. She looks at my ID, she looks at my passport. She looks at me, she goes, ‘One, two, three. Those are three different people.’ I’m literally so f——- embarrassed. She then goes and calls three different men over. One guy was like, ‘Do you not have a work ID?'”
At the time, the baffled TikToker responded that she could pull up her Instagram and said, “I don’t know what to do.”
Cassidy, who has 917,000 followers on Instagram, was notably in a relationship with Liam Payne before his untimely death in 2024.
“Keep in mind, like everybody in the line behind me is listening to this,” she adds. “I understand they’re doing their job. At the same time, I think there’s way better ways to handle things and word things.”

This isn’t the first time this particular airport has amassed online attention. Recently, the Fort Lauderdale airport went viral after a TikToker shared how she drank a drink given by a stranger at the airport. And while she wasn’t affected, things could’ve turned out a lot differently.
What Did Commenters Say?
Unfortunately, a lot of commenters agreed that the photo was a drastic difference.
“Girl those are two different people be so for real,” one wrote.
“Yeah well that’s pretty much a HUGE difference I understand,” a second added.
A third wrote: “The woman is correct. She’s just doing her job. The photo doesn’t match.”
However, other commenters sided with Cassidy.
“People who are saying ‘Yeah the photo looks different’ are totally missing the mark here,” a fourth pointed out.
Creator Alyssa McKay also chimed in, adding, “No, you’re so right to be upset. I’ve had similar experiences at airports in the past and it’s always the worst feeling ever. Keep projecting love and light!”
Has This Happened Before?
Meanwhile, TikToker Davis Roe (@divaaadavisss) previously went viral after sharing how she got flagged by the TSA for her passport picture. The problem? Her picture was too “snatched.”
“Every time I go through TSA, I get absolutely f——- humiliated,” she complained. “The first few times it was funny, and now it’s just humbling.”
She explained that before she took her ID photo, she was tan, more blonde, and wearing makeup.
“I’m basically f—— glowing and levitating off of my ID,” she said in the video clip.
However, the disadvantages to this became clear as a TSA agent scanned her ID five times, to no avail. This led to them calling over another TSA worker — and what they said next was shocking.
“The guy looks at my ID, looks at me, and he’s like, ‘I think it’s you. You’re just obviously way less blonde and way more pale,'” she recounted. “Wow, you really know how to win over a lady.”
She then advised viewers to think hard before glamming up for ID or passport photos.
“As much as you want your baddie driver’s license photo, just remember when you’re at the airport, and you’re a hungover piece of s—, it’s going to tell you you’re not you,” she concluded. “Moral of the story, Davis Roe is f—— chopped in person.”
