‘Friends’ Actor Matthew Perry Dies At Age 54

Matthew Perry, one of the beloved stars from ‘Friends,’ has passed away at age 54.

Police told TMZ that the actor was found on Saturday at a Los Angeles home, where it appears he may have drowned.

First-responders rushed to the scene on a call for cardiac arrest, per the report.

Perry was discovered in a jacuzzi at the residence, and according to TMZ, no drugs were found at the scene, and there is no indication of foul play.

Perry is best known for his iconic role as Chandler Bing on the hit 1990s sitcom, which ran from 1994-2004, with him appearing in every episode of the show.

While ‘Friends’ was his most significant claim to fame, Perry also starred and guest-starred in other television shows over the years, including the The Whole Nine Yards series.

Despite his onscreen charisma, Matthew Perry faced significant struggles off-camera, battling addiction to drugs and alcohol. He sought help in rehab on multiple occasions.
