Another day, another physical altercation over face masks. The latest face mask fight took place inside Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida after a crowd booed women who were reportedly kicked off the plane for not wearing face masks.
While attempting to leave Ft. Lauderdale during spring break, three women were booted off a plane flying to Chicago for not wearing face masks, according to a report by 7News out of Miami. While being escorted back into the Ft. Lauderdale Airport by police, the crowd waiting to board the plane started booing and heckling the women at the American Airlines terminal.
The situation quickly escalated, and the crowd despite a police officer separating the heckler from the anti-masker, a brutal brouhaha erupted. While the women weren’t flying, the fists were. It took two Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies to break up the brawl and calm tempers. The crowd waiting to board the airplane serenaded and jeered the anti-maskers as they were taken away by the police.
No arrests were made at the fight at Ft. Lauderdale Airport.
