It’s a match made in marketing heaven. Andy King, the viral star of Netflix’s Fyre Festival documentary, has received a sponsorship deal with the perfect company — Evian water.
If you recall, Andy King became a viral sensation for his appearance on FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened. Andy was one of the organizers of the doomed Fyre Festival in the Bahamas. Most notably, King was asked by Fyre Festival founder Billy McFarland to do whatever it takes to make sure that the music event had water.
McFarland tapped King to visit a Bahamian customs official and encourage him to release four 18-wheeler trucks filled with Evian water, despite McFarland owing $175,000 in custom fees.
“Well, you’re our wonderful gay leader, and we need you to go down,” McFarland told King. “Will you suck d*ck to fix this water problem?”
Being the team player that Andy King is, he visited the head of customs in the Bahamas after he showered and used mouthwash, completely ready to do whatever it took to get water, even “take one big thing for the team.”
Now, Evian has hired Andy to be a spokesperson for their water and are utilizing King’s “do anything” attitude. On his official Instagram account, King announced the news of his partnership with Evian.
“Who’s thirsty!? On the one year anniversary of my doc debut, @evianwater is releasing a special bottle with a new slogan… all in honor of my infamous team spirit,” Andy wrote.
Andy added, “As a long-time Evian fan — of both the water itself and the brand’s sustainable practices — I could not be more thrilled!” I’m sure Evian water pairs well with a sad sandwich from the Fyre Festival.
“The brand is honoring Mr. King by creating a custom Evian water bottle which includes a new slogan that states, ‘so good you’d do anything for it,’” Evian said in a press release. There are 10 custom bottles and you don’t have to give any blow jobs to get one.
The thirst is real.
On Friday, Netflix commemorated the anniversary of the documentary’s release by sharing the now-infamous clip of Andy with the caption: “It’s been exactly one year since we met the man, the myth, the legend: Andy King.” Evian’s Twitter account replied with: “The ultimate team player.”

Since the release of the Fyre Festival documentary on Netflix, Andy became an internet meme and received offers to appear on TV and in movies. All without having to be a “team player.”
“I’m blown away with the response of the documentary,” King said in January of 2019. “Completely blown away. I am now a noun, a verb, an adjective. It’s mind-boggling.”
