Paramount has released the first official trailer for Good Burger 2, the sequel to the 1997 children’s comedy film Good Burger.

The film sees current Saturday Night Live stalwart Kenan Thompson and former Nickelodeon star Kel Mitchell reprising their roles of Dexter and Ed, respectively.

You can check out both the official synopsis and the official trailer for Good Burger 2 below.

“The highly anticipated film sequel follows Dexter Reed (Kenan Thompson) and original cashier Ed (Kel Mitchell) as they reunite in the present day at fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a hilarious new group of employees.

In Good Burger 2, Dexter Reed is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back. With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.”

Good Burger originally came from a sketch that ran on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That — basically the kids’ version of SNL — that was popular in the late 1990s. In addition to Good Burger, the duo also got their own spin-off sketch comedy series Kenan & Kel which ran from 1996 to 2000.

While Thompson has spent the last few decades working as a cast member on NBC’s famed sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (having been on the show since 2003, he’s the longest-tenured cast member in the history of the series), Mitchell has largely receded from the Hollywood spotlight in recent years. In fact, in 2006, Mitchell was the subject of a death hoax on MySpace.

In addition to Thompson and Mitchell, Good Burger 2 also stars Lil Rel Howery, Jillian Bell, Kamaia Fairburn Alex R. Hibbert, Fabrizio Guido, Elizabeth Hinkler and Emily Hinkler, and Anabel Graetz.

Good Burger 2 will make its debut on Paramount+ on Wednesday, November 22.
