You may want to sit down for this one. We’ve got some Earth-shattering news. Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar will be closing down forever. Pour out some Donkey Sauce and honor what was a small Flavortown in the heart of the big city. The Times Square exquisite eatery which is “all about big flavors and good times” will be shuttering its doors that were all greasy from Guy’s Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls on New Year’s Eve. This is definitely not the bomb-dot-com. Holy stromboli, that means you’ve only got a few days to get “off-the-hook scratch-made food.”

A spokesperson for Fieri confirmed the restaurant’s closure, but no official word was given for the reason for the premature demise of the Fieri foodery. Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar only opened five years and the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives host is “proud” of serving millions of people throughout the years and he thanked his team. Right now, Anthony Bourdain is smiling.

Despite the restaurant’s closing, hopefully, Fieri fanatics will continue FieriCon and turn New York City into Flavortown. That means no more Motley Que Ribs. No more “Awesome” Pretzel Chicken Tenders. No more Dragon Chili Cheese Fries. And no more Guy-talian Nachos. Tis a sad, sad day. I’m going to need a few of Guy’s “Margarita de la Casa” to deal with this devastating news.

In all seriousness, Guy Fieri was cooking hot meals of pulled pork, roasted chicken and macaroni, and cheese for hard-working firefighters battling deadly blazes in California in October.

We won’t always have Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar, but we’ll always have this classic video of Guy Fieri selling mufflers.
