Instagram daredevil Remi Lucidi, known for his terrifying skyscraper stunts, died after falling from the 68th floor of Tregunter Tower in Hong Kong.

According to the South China Morning Post, Lucidi was last seen alive knocking on a penthouse window on the 68th floor of Tregunter Tower at around 7:30 pm last Thursday.

A maid inside the building reportedly called police when she saw Lucidi knocking on a window, allegedly asking for help.

Remi Lucidi reportedly lost his footing and fell before authorities could arrive.

Police found his body on a patio in the city’s Mid-Levels area. They also recovered his camera at the scene. It reportedly contained images and videos of him doing performing his extreme stunts.

Investigators say Remi Lucidi told a security guard that he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor when he arrived at the building that evening. Security reportedly searched for him in the building after the resident denied knowing him.

“A preliminary investigation suggested the man was an extreme sports enthusiast,” a source told the South China Morning Post.

“It is possible that he got trapped outside the penthouse while practicing an extreme sport in the building, and he knocked on the window for help, but accidentally fell to his death.”

The Sun reports that CCTV footage shows Lucidi took the elevator to the 49th floor then using the stairs to get to the penthouse. A hatch to the roof was also found open by security.

His final Instagram post was a view of the skyline in Hong Kong from above.

Lucidi started climbing skyscrapers in 2016 and gained fame by sharing the harrowing images and videos of his climbs on social media.
