Following the release of video of UFC president Dana White slapping his wife on New Year’s Eve internet sleuths have been combing through web looking for more damaging information on the man.
Among the items that have resurfaced are some comments White made about domestic abuse following Ravens running back Ray Rice being arrested for assaulting his fiancée in 2014.
Another interesting piece about Dana White that is now making the rounds is a 2011 interview with his mom June White.
Back then, June White self-published a book titled Dana White, King of MMA: an unauthorized biography. (There was also another book, or the same book under a different title, that she wrote called Through A Mother’s Eyes, The Dana White Story.)
In the book, June White wrote, “It is difficult for me to see how, as the popularity of the UFC evolved, the person I once knew changed into someone who is egotistical, self-centered, arrogant, and cruel. Dana went from being a true friend, a good son, and a truly nice person to being a vindictive tyrant who lacks any feelings for how he treats others.”
During a interview to promote the book which has now resurfaced in the wake of his New Year’s Eve incident, Dana White’s mom said, “I don’t want to take anything away from him, for what he’s done for MMA and the UFC. I mean, Dana has a high school education, and that’s it. I think it’s pretty amazing, the things he’s been able to do in MMA and the UFC, but he’s not a good person. He seems to have lost his character somewhere along the way. He mistreats people. It’s terrible the way he speaks to women and treats women. That really bothers me, because I don’t believe I’ve ever brought him up to behave like that.”
She also claimed the UFC president was a serial cheater.
“Everyone knows that he puts Tiger Woods to shame. Plenty of the ring card girls sleep with him. There’s two of them I know for sure,” she said about Dana in the interview.
“He slept with his sister-in-law in my house, which made me absolutely furious. I mean, he goes after any girl he wants and usually gets them.
“His wife, they’re constantly fighting. The honeymoon, she gave him the worst black eye I’ve ever seen and nearly lost his eye. So, I don’t know if that’s his way of handling that, but he’s gone overboard with handling that.”

Dana White has apologized for smacking his wife Anne.
White’s wife also issued a statement in which she claimed “nothing like this has ever happened before.”
