Jim Caviezel, the controversial star of Sound of Freedom, has said that the upcoming sequel to The Passion of the Christ will be “the biggest film in the history of the world.”

In addition to his comments about the movie being the biggest ever made, Caviezel also indicated that he doesn’t even know how many movies the project will be, saying it could be one, two, or three films.

Caviezel, who starred as Jesus in Mel Gibson’s 2004 film The Passion of the Christ, has made a name for himself as a vocal proponent and endorser of QAnon conspiracy theories.

“We’re going to do the Resurrection and that will be the biggest film in the history of the world. I think it might be two movies, I don’t think it’s going to be three, but it could be. It could be one. So, depends how he [Mel Gibson] wants to do it,” Caviezel said.

“He took me through all of the scenes and I was on the floor crying […] it’ll be one of the best things you’ve ever seen. I can’t tell you [when it’s coming out]. If I told you I’d have to kill you.”

The Passion of the Christ was nominated for Best Makeup, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score at the 77th Academy Awards and racked up $612 million at the global box office.

In addition to  Caviezel as Jesus Christ, the film — written and directed by Mel Gibson — stars Maia Morgenstern as Mary, mother of Jesus, and Monica Bellucci as Mary Magdalene. Other cast members include primarily Italian actors such as Mattia Sbragia, Francesco De Vito, Toni Bertorelli, Luca Lionello, and Claudia Gerini.

Caviezel isn’t the only member of The Passion of the Christ creative team to become controversial since the film’s release, as Gibson has also fallen out of favor due to public instances of racism and anti-Semitism.
