John Oliver has a plan to get rid of "Liberty Biberty"
Scroll through social media anytime the nation’s sports fans are watching a game on TV, and you’ll likely see complaints about “Liberty Biberty,” the new advertising “mascot” from Liberty Mutual. It hasn’t taken long for the anthropomorphic yellow fur ball to overstay its welcome.
“Imagine how good it would feel to send Liberty Biberty 450 feet deep to dead center in a home run derby,” one viral tweet from last week read.
“Me and my friends would’ve killed Liberty Biberty with hammers I can tell you that much,” a second sports fan joked.
“Call me woke or whatever but I don’t think children watching baseball should be subjected to boner pill commercial, Sydney Sweeney naked gambling ad, Liberty Biberty, and even more gambling ads every single commercial break,” a third popular post argued.
That third tweet, in particular, illustrates just how fed up the general public is with Liberty Biberty, as it’s being grouped in with traditionally scandalous topics such as sex, nudity, and gambling.

Last Week Tonight host John Oliver has come up with a plan to get rid of Liberty Mutual’s annoying “Liberty Biberty” mascot
Unfortunately for the anti-Biberty coalition, one of the biggest issues with aggravating marketing campaigns is that, as far as the company is concerned, all attention is good attention — in fact, some people believe commercials are made to be intentionally annoying so they stick in the brain more permanently. This is where John Oliver comes in.
During the October 11 episode of Last Week Tonight, Oliver closed out his show by reporting on a developing story on the other side of the world: the fervor surrounding the lamb mascot for Kiwibank.
In short, tweets about the Kiwibank sheep being ‘f—able’ have seemingly convinced the company to stop using the character in its marketing. Or, as Oliver put it during the segment, “The sheep is gone!”

Bringing his point to a close, Oliver suggested that fed-up Americans should apply that same tactic to Liberty Mutual by flooding social media with Liberty Biberty smut in an effort to dissuade the company from using the character any longer.
After all, as the old saying goes, if you can’t beat ’em (with hammers), sexualize them (with disturbing AI cartoons).
Which is wetter – the ocean or me watching an absolutely jacked Liberty Biberty working that chiseled bod?
Spoiler: it’s me.

I am putting far more energy into Liberty Biberty this morning than I should. Thanks, @iamjohnoliver. #LastWeekTonight
This Biberty is so on point that even Buck is on board. https://t.co/tKE7j8SY6G
