After it was reported that Jonathan Majors scored a big win in the legal court earlier this week, the Marvel Cinematic Univers star has been dealt a major blow in the court of public opinion.

According to a new in-depth report from Rolling Stone, which cites two dozen sources, Majors “has a pattern of ‘extreme abuse’ that goes back nearly a decade to his days at Yale, where he was ‘allegedly aggressive on sets and a source of toxicity.'”

“No one is surprised that this is coming out,” one source told Rolling Stone. “It always felt like it was a matter of time because his behavior never changed. He’s kind of a bad dude, and now it’s just catching up with him.”

Another source said that Majors would “terrorize” people that he dated.

The report from Rolling Stone is just the latest incident in Majors’ ongoing legal and personal troubles, which began back in March when he was arrested on charges of assault, strangulation, and harassment.

Majors, through his attorney Dustin Pusch, provided a statement to Rolling Stone that denies the allegations:

“Jonathan Majors vehemently denies Rolling Stone’s false allegations that he physically, verbally, or emotionally abused anyone, let alone any of his past romantic partners. These allegations are based entirely on hearsay because neither of the romantic partners referenced were willing to engage with Rolling Stone for the article—demonstrating their outright falsity.”

Given these latest allegations against Majors and his pending trial that’s set to begin on August 3, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to imagine Marvel being able to keep Majors in his currently prominent role within the franchise.

After starring in February’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania, Majors villainous character Kang the Conqueror was positioned as being the next “big bad” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was next set to appear in season two of the Disney+ series Loki, which is currently scheduled to premiere this fall
