I tend to not put too much weight into a Rotten Tomatoes ‘Tomatometer’ score because I trust IMDB more than Rotten Tomatoes, but I’m apparently in the minority here. The world of DC Universe fans had a full-blown conniption fit when Rotten Tomatoes delayed the release of its score for Justice League, one of the most highly anticipated films of 2017.

Well, Rotten Tomatoes has finally released their score for Justice League along with an explanation of why they delayed it. Rotten Tomatoes claims they delayed the release of the score because they wanted to reveal it on their new Facebook show titled See It/Skip It. In fact, they haven’t even printed the score on the Justice League landing page yet and are still trying to get fans to go watch See It/Skip It on Facebook.

The Rotten Tomatoes score for Justice League is a paltry 43%. The film has a 98% ‘want to see’ score, so fans are still planning on seeing this heaping pile of garbage in the theaters.

I was actually excited about seeing this film because of Jason Momoa as Aquaman, the inclusion of The Flash who is my favorite of all the DC superheroes, and the return of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. But then I read this scathing review of Justice League by my friend Jordan who completely destroyed the film, and now I have zero hope for this movie. In fact, I’m so disheartened by these reviews I now plan on waiting to watch this movie until I can see it on a plane.

Over on UPROXX, they note that Justice League‘s Rotten Tomatoes score of 43% is better than both Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad (27% and 26%), but falls behind Man of Steel‘s 55%. I actually thoroughly enjoyed Man of Steel and based on the 43% Rotten Tomatoes score alone I would’ve been inclined to see this film. It’s the reviews that have me worried. Film critics are tearing this film to absolute shreds, saying that even Gal Gadot cannot save this movie from itself.
