There have been a lot of expensive divorces over the years. Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Tiger Woods immediately come to mind.

Now, it appears, we can add Kevin Costner to that illustrious list.

That is because, according to court documents obtained by People, Kevin Costner’s estranged wife Christine Baumgartner is seeking a whopping $248,000 a month in child support.

Kevin, 68, and Christine, 49, who were married in 2004, have three kids together: Cayden Wyatt, 16, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 13.

Apparently they are very, VERY expensive children.

In the court documents, Christine actually claims that the $248,000 a month she is asking for is “less than the amount needed to maintain the children in their accustomed lifestyle.”

Making the claim even wilder is the fact that the $248,000 a month doesn’t cover the kids’ private school tuition, extracurricular activities/sports and healthcare expenses, for which she is also asking Costner to pay 100% of the cost.

Costner, according to the court papers, earned $19,517,0641 in 2022. The family’s expenses were $6,645,285, not including taxes. After taxes were figured in, they cleared $7,595,520 in profit.

Christine is also reportedly planning on challenging the prenuptial agreement she signed when she married Costner.

Previous court documents filed by Kevin Costner informed Christine that Christine had 30 days to leave their $145 million home. She has ignored that demand and remains in the home. She claimed he had “no legal basis” to kick her out.

In his court documents, Costner agreed to pay $38,000 a month in child support plus other costs related to their three kids including private school tuition, school trips, children’s sports, extracurricular activities, health insurance, unreimbursed medical expenses and therapy.

The prenup also states she gets a $1.2 million property, $30,000 per month toward a rental home, and he has already paid her $1 million as part of the agreement.

Many folks on the internet expressed shock at the large number Christine Baumgartner is asking for in child support.

“What the hell is she buying that she needs 248k a month?” someone else asked.

“I’m usually on the woman’s side but girl gtfo,” read another tweet. “He’s already paying her a ton of money and has already paid $1 million to her due to their prenup.”
