The Country Music Awards was on TV last night, aka ‘the biggest night in Country’. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood hosted for a record 10th time and absolutely crushed the opening monologue. If you haven’t seen that monologue yet you can check it out below.

To honor Country Music’s biggest night, Jimmy Kimmel Live put together ‘Mean Tweets – Country Music Edition’. This is the third time Jimmy Kimmel has done a ‘Celebrities Read Mean Tweets’ dedicated entirely to Country Music, and this is the best one yet. Why? Because it’s hilarious to see just how much some people hate Country Music artist. It’s also amazing to me that people can tweet out stuff like this without ever knowing they’re going to end up on TV with the person they were bashing reading the actual tweet.

If you didn’t recognize a lot of those artists that’s probably because you live somewhere like NYC where you aren’t constantly listening to the radio every day while driving to and from work. The 2017 CMA Awards crowned the biggest names in Country Music last night. The biggest scandal was Garth Brooks lip-syncing his performance because he was sick. Brad and Carrie’s monologue was incredible. You can see Twitter reactions here along with a portion of the video.

Lip-syncing performance aside, Garth Brooks was named ‘Entertainer of the Year’ and took home the biggest prize of the night. Little Big Town won the CMA Award for ‘Song of the Year’ for their smash hit ‘Better Man’. If you haven’t listened to that song before, here you go:
