‘It’s Invite Only’: Las Vegas Man Shows Off Secret Las Vegas Hotel—It’s For The ‘Mega Rich’

There will always be some things that are just out of reach for the under-funded among us.

We’d all love to be high rollers with money to spare. However, if you’re a young person reading this, chances are high that you probably don’t have that much cash on hand. While celebs can afford to brandish their high-end watches and yachts they’ll inevitably crash, the rest of us are stuck simply thanking our lucky stars that the Costco hot dog combo still costs just $1.50.

Sometimes, the expenses of the elite are so extravagant that we cannot even fathom them. In fact, according to one TikTok user, there are even some things available to rich people that the average person doesn’t even know exists. For example, is there really a secret hotel in Las Vegas reserved for the mega-rich?

What’s The Deal With This Las Vegas Hotel?

In a video with over 2.7 million views, TikTok user George Barragan (@vegasgeorgy) shows off a “secret Hotel in Las Vegas that only the mega-rich have access to,” per the video’s caption.

“I’m gonna show you guys the entrance to the most prestige hotel on the Las Vegas Strip,” Barragan starts.

As the video continues, Barragan drives down the Strip. Eventually, he makes a turn down what appears to be an alley. After a little more driving, he arrives at a gate. The gate opens, revealing an ornate, mansion-like hotel.

“It’s good to be home, baby,” he says.

Is This Hotel Really Reserved For The Mega-Rich?

Sort of.

The hotel is called The Mansion at MGM Grand. According to structural engineers Saiful Bouquet, “290,000-square foot Mansion showcases 29 private Garden Villas and Atrium Villas ranging from 2,400 square feet to 12,000 square feet, each with its own indoor pool.”

In general, stays at The Mansion are invite-only. This means that, in general, the property is reserved for celebrity guests and high rollers at the gambling tables. However, some internet users claim that they were able to book a villa directly through MGM—no celebrity status required.

Even if you’re a star, you’re still going to have to pay a hefty chunk of change for the opportunity to stay at The Mansion. Some sources put the per-night price between $5,000 and $15,000. Others have claimed anywhere from $6,000 per night in the off-season to over $25,000 for a single night.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re debating whether to spend the potential $10k+ for a single night stay, internet users say you’re probably better off saving your money.

A video on Reddit showed off the interior of one of the villas. While the size is significant, commenters seemed largely disappointed by the expensive stay. Many commenters claimed that the interiors felt dated and worn, while others simply said that the rooms were in desperate need of renovation.

“The room itself leaves so much to be desired and is in desperate need of an update. Generally well maintained but feels so tired but has that early 00’s feel that can’t be overlooked,” wrote one user.

Still, there are upsides.

“The perks of staying there are not so much in the actual hard product but the exclusivity, service and isolation from the traditional Vegas experience it provides,” the same user continued. “You will want for nothing the entire time you’re there and no ask goes unanswered.”

Commenters Aren’t Impressed

In the comments section, users weren’t sold on the idea that The Mansion had the level of prestige that Barragan claimed.

“The Mansions at the MGM. No longer that prestigious. Used to have to be invited to stay there,” wrote a user. “You can also access it from the casino floor, hallway to the right of the diner next to Starbucks.”

“Nothing about MGM is prestigious,” declared another.

Others were simply content to commiserate in the comments.

“I can’t even afford airfare to Vegas. This video is not for me,” stated a user.
