Lisa Kudrow, the former Friends star who worked with the late Matthew Perry on the series from 1996 to 2004, is reportedly considering adopting the latter’s dog Alfred following his untimely death over the weekend, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

Perry tragically passed away over the weekend at the age of 54 years old after he was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles hot tub on Saturday, October 28. At this time, while his official cause of death has not been confirmed, California authorities say that no foul play is suspected.

“Lisa and the cast will all be attending his services. Lisa is also considering taking in his beloved dog Alfred,” one of Kudrow’s “friends” told the Daily Mail.

After breaking through in the 1990s with his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, Perry was open about his struggles with substance abuse and addiction issues, including in his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir, which was released in late 2022.

Kudrow starred alongside Perry on Friends as Phoebe Buffay, the eccentric member of the group, while Perry’s Chandler was considered to be the sarcastic one.
