‘About To Spit In Y’all Food’: Server Speaks Out On Behalf Of LongHorn Steakhouse Servers After Customers Order Parmesan-Crusted ‘Everything’

TikTok “food order” trends, where creators popularize menu hacks at restaurants, are a popular genre that often gains traction on the platform.

These “food hacks” have been around for a while. For example, one Texas Roadhouse customer shared the “grilled rolls” hack, McDonald’s employees have explained how to get fresh fries every time, and there are countless “family eating for cheap” hacks that have gone viral, such as this recent Five Guys one.

However, there’s often little emphasis on the kind of impact these viral orders can have on the workers preparing them.

TikTok creator Sharis (@nothellotitty) recently called out customers who order “parmesan-crusted everything” at LongHorn Steakhouse in a video that has garnered over 227,000 views.

“As a server who has never worked at LongHorn but do be going out to eat all the time, them people sick of y’all,” she says.

She points out that the parmesan crust itself isn’t new.

“Mind you, parmesan-crusted chicken at LongHorn has been around forever,” she says. “The parmesan crust to add on to your steaks and stuff has been around forever.”

But according to her, TikTok trends have pushed the add-on into overdrive.

“Y’all done found a way in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 2026 to parmesan-crust everything,” she says.

She describes seeing entire tables where nearly every item had the topping added.

“For me to see the lamb chops with the mashed potatoes and the bread on the table and everything got parmesan crust on it,” she says. “Why your whole plate parmesan-crusted?”

“I love cheese just as much as the next person,” she continues. “I’m lactose intolerant. I’m eating cheese. But you got parmesan on your whole plate.”

She added that LongHorn Steakhouse servers most likely “go into the back and talk s—” about customers who ask for parmesan-crusted menu items.

She added in the caption, “LongHorn about to spit in yall food cuz yall won’t stop playing!!!”

Comments Were Split

In the comments section, viewers had mixed reactions.

“As a LH server… thank you!” one person wrote.

Others weren’t sympathetic.

“Well I just left and had Parmesan crusted chicken, Parmesan crusted mashed potatoes and Parmesan crusted broccoli,” another commenter shared. “Idgaf about a server talking [expletive]. They don’t get paid for what we want to eat. They get paid for serving, DO THAT and mind y’all business.”

Some servers chimed in with a more neutral stance.

“As a server idgaf wat u do just make sure i get my 20% tip thats all i care about,” another wrote.

Other LongHorn Servers Online Share Their Perspective

LongHorn Steakhouse has offered its parmesan crust add-on for steaks, chicken, and some other mains for years. It’s a popular option among regular customers.

However, some servers say TikTok virality has recently taken the trend to another level.

One LongHorn server posted about the situation on Reddit’s r/serverlife. They said they’ve been serving at LongHorn Steakhouse for years but that the parmesan crust requests have recently become excessive.

“I’ve heard ‘but I saw it on TikTok’ more times than I can count in the last week,” they wrote, adding that some guests had even asked to put parmesan crust on their complimentary bread.

Another server said the trend has noticeably changed orders during promotions.

They explained that they’ve worked the restaurant’s lamb promotion for five years but had never seen anything like the current wave of requests. According to them, one table of three ordered parmesan crust on nearly everything, including mac and cheese that already comes crusted, cheddar-stuffed mushrooms, and spinach dip.
