Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has split from her longtime fiancé
News broke this week that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had split with her longtime partner and fiancé Riley Roberts. Controversial “looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular certainly took notice.
Clavicular, the Gen Z influencer best known for advocating extreme self-improvement techniques known as “looksmaxxxing,” replied to TMZ‘s story about AOC’s breakup by saying that he can “fix her,” which is a popular internet meme and dating mindset where someone believes their love can change a flawed but promising person

While news of her updated relationship status is just being reported on now, reports indicate the pair actually split two years ago.
The couple, who had been together since attending Boston College, last made a major public appearance together at the 2021 Met Gala. While the pair confirmed that they were engaged in 2022, sources say they called the wedding off and broke up in 2024.
“I was told by a reputable Democratic source about 18 months ago that her engagement was called off. AOC stopped wearing her engagement ring several months before that. There have been no public photos of her and Riley together in recent history,” reported Puck News’ Leigh Ann Caldwell.
“That ethics report that people point to from 2025 is referencing a 2021 event, when they were together. Maybe they have gotten back together? I have no idea. Her office has not confirmed nor denied the status of her relationship. Honestly I thought that her calling off the engagement was much more widely known when I posted my original tweet.”

The confirmation of AOC’s breakup comes after the popular Democratic Congresswoman shared her journey of getting her eggs frozen on her Instagram. Ocasio-Cortez is 36 years old and does not yet have any children.
Ocasio-Cortez currently finds herself as the betting favorite to be the Democratic nominee in the 2028 Presidential election.
