Desperate times call for desperate measures, and these are most definitely desperate times.

Which is why one man in Monterrery, Mexico has taken it upon himself to don his Batman suit and patrol the streets in his Batmobile telling people to stay the hell at home and quit spreading the infection.

According to Telediario, police officers from various municipalities been patrolling the streets with a loudspeaker encouraging residents to stay at home.

However, much like in Florida, that has not been working and people are still milling about as if their isn’t a worldwide pandemic taking place.

Enter Batman.

Proof of this was that on Saturday afternoon, the news cameras captured families walking through the Center of Monterrey and in this situation, aid came from Gotham City, because Batman decided to ride his batmobile to ask citizens stay home.

During the tour, several looked amazed and began to take photographs of that vehicle so characteristic of the superhero, and others, chose to listen to the recording and leave.

Hooded, hiding his mysterious identity and putting himself at the disposal of the citizens, Batman wants to fight the villains and he doesn’t exactly talk about “The Joker”, “The Penguin” or “The Poison Ivy”, but about the fools who continue leaving his home in full contingency for the coronavirus.

Because he’s the hero the world deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we’ll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he’s not our hero. He’s a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.

“Today I saw entire families, with children around. Even though the government has told people that they must stay home,” The Batman told the media. “You still see people in the street acting as if nothing were happening. I can’t solve this situation on my own, so I’m making a call to all of Nuevo León to join me and others and be superheroes like us. Stay at home. I understand that the situation is complicated, that people are desperate, that it’s really hot but, well, turn on the TV, spend time with your families, take advantage of this extra time.”

Godspeed, Caped Crusader.
