A Man Pissed About Being Born Is Suing His Parents For The Most Millennial Reason Ever

Based on my experience interacting with teenagers (as well as formerly being one) I think it’s safe to say people in the process of going through puberty are, for lack of a better word, assholes.

Sure, it might be a bit of a blanket statement, but it seems like most adolescents wake up in the morning and ask themselves “How can I say the most hurtful shit possible today?” As John Mulaney highlighted in his fantastic bit about middle schoolers, youths are able to cut to the core of your being unlike any other age group on the planet.

There are plenty of reasons I’m absolutely terrified of having kids but one of the biggest factors is knowing I’m going to spend years dealing with a petulant teen who will devote their days to making me second-guess whether or not I should have conceived them in the first place as they insist they wish they’d never been born.

However, it appears some people never outgrow that phase.

According to Fox News, a 27-year-old Indian man named Raphael Samuel recently announced he was planning to file a lawsuit against his parents because they never asked for his consent before giving birth to him.

Samuel, an “antinatalist” who is fundamentally opposed to any and all procreation, posted a video earlier this week in an attempt to explain his rationale and twisted my mind into a pretzel in the process.

The crux of Samuel’s argument is that he never asked to be born so he shouldn’t be expected to pay his living expenses. He elaborated, saying:

“I want everyone in India and the world to realize one thing that they are born without their consent. I want them to understand that they do not owe their parents anything. If we are born without our consent, we should be maintained for our life. We should be paid by our parents to live.”

“To children, I would like to say: do not do anything for your parents if you do not want to. If you want to, if you truly genuinely feel like doing it, do it.”

Samuel’s mother responded to her son’s announcement on Facebook, and while it looks like she respects the hustle, it’s clear he’s fighting a losing battle.

On behalf of all millennials, I’d like to thank Samuel for giving the general public even more ammunition to use against us. That’s exactly what we need.
