VIDEO: Man Arrested For Taunting A Bison At Yellowstone, His Third Disturbance At The Park This Week

Don’t mess with the bison, you’ll get the horns. You also will get thrown in jail for a week if you taunt a bison at Yellowstone National Park. This week’s winner of the Darwin Award is Raymond Reinke, a man who provoked a bison and was almost impaled by the 1,500+-pound beast. He luckily did not get tossed in the air or stampeded by the bison, but he finds himself in jail today.

Reinke from Pendleton, Oregon, was a nationwide story this week as a video of him taunting a bison at Yellowstone went viral. Police tracked down Reinke and he was arrested for harassing the dangerous wild animal. He was arrested in Glacier National Park, this is Reinke’s third disturbance at national parks in the last week. Last Thursday evening, Reinke caused a disturbance at the historic Many Glacier Hotel. Last Saturday, the 55-year-old man was cited for drunken and disorderly conduct at Grand Teton. He was released on $500 bond that required him to follow the law and avoid alcohol. This man really needs to be arrested for those shorts.

However, Reinke may have been hitting the bottle again as he got out of his car, screamed and provoked a giant bison by beating his chest in the middle of the road with other cars all around. Reinke will spend some time in jail because his court hearing isn’t until next week. Why couldn’t this dude honk his horn like a normal asswipe? Also, why isn’t he wearing any shoes? Bad job by the videographer who turns away right when the bison was about to get its comeuppance as well as points off for vertical filming.
