Are you ready to do the Dew? There’s a new Dew. Mountain Dew unveiled its first new flavor in more than a decade. Mtn Dew brings a juicy watermelon flavor to your mouth. Introducing Mtn Dew Major Melon.
The bright pink-colored soda pop is bursting with watermelon flavor.
“Watermelon is a truly transportive taste, evoking feelings of freedom and nostalgia,” said Nicole Portwood, vice president of marketing at Mtn Dew. “We found watermelon to be the number one choice of flavors tested amongst our fans, and MTN DEW Major Melon is our answer for those who are looking for a refreshing charge to keep them invigorated all day long.”
“As a brand, MTN DEW is always pushing the envelope to bring DEW Nation the next bold taste that they crave in a way only DEW can,” Portwood added.
Mtn Dew Major Melon will also be offered in a zero sugar option for health-conscious people. Both the regular soda and zero sugar drinks will be available in 20-ounce bottles, 2-liter bottles, 12-packs of 12 oz. cans, and other single and multipack sizes. The new flavor is available nationwide at retailers and online.
“ok its been a hot minute since I had mtn dew supernova but major melon tastes like a spiritual successor,” one person said on Twitter.
“Grabbed a pack and it’s basically just Baja Blast, Watermelon edition with a bit more after-taste. Not bad though,” another tweeted.
“ATTENTION: Major Melon Mountain Dew is f*cking amazing,” a person raved.
The last permanent flavor that Mountain Dew presented was White Out, a citrus-flavored soda that debuted in 2010.
