Woman’s Neighbor Keeps Driving His Truck Over Her Yard. She Plans To Up The Ante With A Concrete Solution

If you’ve ever had a bad neighbor, you know how much of a pain they can be in your life.

Arguments between neighbors are super common. In fact, one 2025 survey found that approximately 26% of American adults have had a dispute with a neighbor, and 9% claimed they had a neighbor dispute within the past year.

If your neighbor problem is really bad, and you live in an apartment, you can always just move. But many people think, “I’m not the problem—they’re the problem! Why should I have to be the one to move?”

And so, these neighbor disputes often escalate. Some try to get revenge on their neighbor by doing things like blasting loud music. Others get back at their property partner by filing a hosting of zoning complaints against them.

One woman recently went viral after sharing her own method for getting back at an intrusive neighbor. But is this even legal?

A Concrete Solution To A Neighbor Problem

In a video with over 564,000 views, TikTok user Lisa (@lisacuff1978) shows what she says is her property. Approaching her land is a large pickup truck.

“POV: You keep driving through my yard, so now we’re entering the concrete era,” she writes in the caption. Along the lawn, the TikToker has laid several large pieces of concrete.

The video then shows the consequences of her handiwork. By laying concrete along her lawn, she turns it into a trap. The truck gets briefly stuck, with the wheels spinning and suspension bouncing as the driver attempts to make his way over the concrete pieces.

“Enjoy the videos while you can, because tomorrow I’m installing concrete-filled planters,” she adds in the caption. “Consider this your official notice that the yard is CLOSED to traffic.”

She also posted another video showing that the neighbor has, in fact, driven onto her grass before.

“This has been an ongoing problem, so at this point, concrete planters aren’t decoration—they’re a necessity,” she writes in the caption of the other video. “If you can’t see the property line, don’t worry… I’m about to make it VERY easy to find.”

Is This Legal?

One might think that, “It’s my property. I can do whatever I want!”

However, this isn’t always the case. For example, if you booby-trap your home like it’s “Home Alone,” and someone breaks in and gets injured, you can get in trouble.

So, what if your neighbor keeps driving on your property? Are you allowed to set up something that will damage his car if he does it again?

The answer is, “It depends what you set up.”

For example, Lisa’s plan to put up concrete planters that mark her property line seems to be in the clear, legally speaking. Courts have held that you can mark your property line with a visible, obvious barrier. If someone’s self or property gets damaged as a result of hitting that barrier, the person who set up the barrier is—depending on the circumstances—usually not going to be held liable.

The difference would be if she decided to set up a trap. To offer another example, some commenters suggested laying down road spikes, which would be concealed in the grass. This would likely be illegal.

Viewers Are On Her Side

In the comments section, users voiced their support for Lisa’s mission against her neighbor, with many wondering about the mindset of the neighbor himself.

“I just wanna know WHY he’s doing that…like what mindset makes that seem okay to him,” questioned a user.

“I think he is doing it for fun,” speculated another. “He has plenty of room on the other side.”

Others claimed they had solved similar problems in the past.

“I placed a spectacularly large boulder at the end of our driveway after every Amazon and delivery truck kept cutting the corner and ruining our grass. I even placed tall flaggers to warn them. My husband had spent so much time researching and growing a special grass seed that would grow in full shade and we were proud of our yard!” recalled a commenter. “The loud metal screeching sound of the next Amazon truck as the boulder ran down the side was very satisfying.”
