Netflix Has Developed Strains Of Weed To Go With Your Favorite Shows

Netflix

If you’ve ever gotten way too stoned and watched the entirety of Planet Earth in a single sitting, you know just how much weed can increase your enjoyment of a Netflix binge watch. If you haven’t, well, you’re seriously missing out on a truly transformative experience.

It appears the folks at Netflix seem to understand that marijuana connoisseurs make up a sizeable chunk of their demographic, as the platform recently revealed multiple strains of weed specifically designed to increase your enjoyment of your favorite original shows.

The strains include an Orange is the New Black-inspired Poussey Riot, Camp Firewood (Wet Hot American Summer), Prickly Muffin (Bojack Horseman), and Banana Stand Kush (Arrested Development), which is ideal for anyone who’s looking to roll up a big yellow joint.

It might sound like pseudoscience, but Netflix claims that each strain is tailor made to increase your enjoyment of the show that you’re watching:

“Each strain was cultivated with the specific shows in mind, designed to complement each title based on their tone. For example, sillier shows may be more indica dominant, while dramedies will be more sativa dominant to help the more powerful scenes resonate.”

The strains were on sale at a pop-up event in Los Angeles this past weekend. It seems like it was a one-off production, but given Netflix’s tendency to resurrect old shows, we wouldn’t be surprised to see them reappear at some point.
