What did everyone do before the internet and all of these streaming services? What did people do back in the day? Good thing we don’t have to worry about that because Netflix just released their list of what’s new for the month of March (as well as what will be leaving the service).
Some highlights of what’s new on Netflix in March include Spaceman, Damsel, Full Swing, Shirley, The Program: Cons, Cults and Kidnapping, The Netflix Slam and more.
• Spaceman: Six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Adam Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Desperate to fix things with his wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship.
• Damsel: A dutiful damsel agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive.
• Shirley: Tells the story of the first Black congresswoman and political icon, Shirley Chisholm, and her trailblazing run for president of the U.S. It chronicles her audacious, boundary-breaking 1972 presidential campaign.
• The Program: Cons, Cults and Kidnapping: No talking. No smiling. No going outside. The Academy at Ivy Ridge claimed to use therapy and recreational activities to help troubled teens. Instead, teens suffered mental and physical abuse in a program that operated like a cult.
