Last month, we were all treated to the opening sequence of “The Punisher.” We finally get the official trailer for “The Punisher” from Netflix with the heavy drumbeats of Metallica as the soundtrack and holy shit it is badass! Based on the trailer, the Netflix TV series definitely promises plenty of guns, blood, and explosions.
Jon Bernthal, formerly Shane Walsh on “The Walking Dead,” stars as revenge-filled antihero Frank Castle. Hell-bent on inflicting punitive vengeance on the scumbags who killed his family, Castle unleashes a one-man army on anyone who gets in his way all while wearing his iconic skull vest. However, The Punisher will not only face rogue criminals but he will be hunted down by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI after a government conspiracy is unveiled.

The cast also includes Deborah Ann Woll, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Jason R. Moore, Amber Rose Revah, Michael Nathanson, Paul Schulze, and Daniel Webber. The series is written by Steve Lightfoot, who produced “Hannibal.”
Unfortunately, Netflix teases a release date, but never shows the exact day this series will be able to be binged upon, but many speculate it will be available in October. Please let it be the first Friday in October.
