Woman Puts Pandora On Her LG TV While She Cleans. Somehow It Knows The Moment She Leaves The Room: ‘Who Is Watching Me?’

Cleaning the house is already enough of a chore. The last thing you need is to feel like you’re being watched—especially by your TV.

That’s apparently what happened to TikTok user Valerie (@V_rose_art), who was listening to Pandora on her LG TV when she noticed something very strange.

“Who is watching me?” Valerie asks in the video when her music stopped—unprompted by her.

And judging by the comments, plenty of TikTok users had the same question.

‘Are You Still Listening?’

Valerie shared the video on TikTok, where it has racked up 78,500 views and more than 3,000 comments.

In the clip, Valerie shows her TV screen, “Are you still listening?”

The prompt on the Pandora app includes a message, “We pay for every song we play, so we try not to play to an empty room.”

Valeria is shocked by the prompt, explaining that she was cleaning her home to music from the app when she realized it suddenly stopped. She clicks the only button, “I’m still listening.”

Then, she decides to test something.

After pressing play, Valerie hides behind the wall separating her living room from the rest of the space.

That’s when the strange part happens.

An ad plays, and the prompt comes back.

The timing was enough to make her wonder whether her television somehow knew she was no longer sitting in front of it.

“Who is watching me?” she asks.

Naturally, the internet had theories.

TikTok users have questions about Pandora and the TV

The comments section quickly filled up with people trying to figure out what could have caused the mysterious screen change.

One commenter raised what might be the most important question of all: “Why does pandora care if the room is empty room as the music can’t be heard in other rooms???”

Others joked that perhaps the mysterious screen, of course, appeared after an advertisement.

One commenter suggested the timing could have something to do with the ad itself rather than the TV somehow detecting Valerie’s location.

And honestly, that’s probably a little less creepy.

Still, when you’re standing behind a wall and your TV suddenly senses you’re not there, it’s easy to start feeling like you’re living inside a low-budget tech thriller.

Is Pandora Actually Watching?

There are several possible explanations for what Valerie saw, and the video alone doesn’t establish that Pandora was detecting whether she was in the room.

Smart TVs can have features that respond to inactivity, remote-control input, or other device settings. Streaming apps can also display advertisements, prompts, or other interface elements while content is playing.

Without knowing exactly what appeared on Valerie’s LG TV or what settings were enabled, it’s impossible to determine from the video alone what triggered the screen.

That hasn’t stopped TikTok users from having fun with the mystery.

After all, there’s something uniquely unsettling about leaving a room for a few seconds and coming back to find your TV behaving differently.

BroBible reached out to Valerie for additional details about what happened and also contacted Pandora for comment. As of publication, we have not heard back.

For now, the mystery remains unsolved.

Maybe Pandora knew Valerie had left. Maybe her LG TV simply timed out; maybe an advertisement appeared at precisely the wrong moment.

Or maybe the algorithm has officially decided that cleaning music comes with surveillance.

And somewhere, another person is probably looking at their smart TV a little differently.
